The skin color is the key, and the grapes which are rich in resveratrol are dark purple and dark red. Standard green grapes hardly have any. These include other antioxidant substances, which do themselves offer a degree of protection against cancer.

The final source for the shopper is the obvious one. You can buy resveratrol in supplements, either as a cheap pack with just the resveratrol and a cover, or you can buy an advanced version where the manufacturer has added other materials from the skins and seeds of grapes. This is to create the same effect as the real grape, and make the resveratrol more easily absorbed into the body. These supplements are freely available both in shops and online, making it easier for you to compare and select exactly what you are looking for.

Resveratrol sources can be combined for even greater effect. There is no reason why you cannot eat grapes or drink wine, and take the supplement as well. If you choose a cheap basic supplement, this will be the way to go, as a cheap supplement will not have the full range of nutrients needed. Whatever your source of resveratrol, make sure you don't shoot yourself in the foot by taking in substances which will fight it and cancel out the benefits. No smoking, moderate drinking, and try to cut down on refined carbohydrates. Live a healthy lifestyle, and you maximize the benefit of your resveratrol sources.
